The first session of Professor Tortorelli’s Digital Media Studio class was exciting to say the least bit. He had easily earned my respect and interest the moment he opened his mouth and began to speak in such a charismatic tone, leaving me feeling inspired and motivated. As some of you may not know I've always dreamed of having my own platform to share my own creations while also exemplifying the digital work of others. The moment Professor T. began to discuss the topics and skills we would cover during this course I knew that my visions would finally be able to come to life at the power of my own hands. That being said my goals for this semester Include being able to significantly add to my already existing web page, while also diversifying my digital skills among the many Adobe programs I am not quite familiar with yet.
At my highschool in Northern Massachusetts, minimal digital media classes are offered, so I was sure to grasp this opportunity the moment I saw some availability in the course. As you can see here, I have previously set up my own website/blog platform to post my photography and other creations. This website originates from an “independent study” I took during my senior year of highschool. I accomplished little to nothing in the class, but still managed to earn a 94% just for making this simple web page consisting of only 8-10 of my own images and some basic texts. However, I now have great plans for the future of my digital platform as well as my own personal digital skills as there is no doubt in my mind that Professor Tortorelli won't be able to help me get me there.
